THE RULEBOOK CONTAINS OFFICIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH CLASS
Youth
Classes
The future of drag racing......This is a popular class
for youngsters now up to 16 years old learning the thrill
of victory
and the agony of getting beat by a mile, with some anxious
fathers steadying the riders at the start line, frequent
red lights, and occassional overly anxious fathers giving
them
a big push off. The moms and family can be found at the
fence, cameras catching the runs. The spectators, overcome
by cuteness,
watch the sometimes slow finish and cheer all the young
racers.....win or lose. We run two youth classes, Junior
Youth (8-11 years
old) and Senior Youth (12-16 years old) with the winners
receiving a trophy and points. We always start our events
by running
both youth class elimination rounds completely through.
We do this so the kids can concentrate on learning through
repetition
and still have the day for kid stuff. It's also safer
for the small bikes and racers when we move up through
the
larger bikes
and classes.
ET Classes
We run two ET dial in classes . Both run on a pro tree
, yes , we said pro tree dial in handicap start
.
The two classes are as follows:
ET Shootout , 6.00 et to 11.00 ET and Quick Bike Shootout
to 5.99 ET
Pushrod and Buell Classes
The HARLEY DAVIDSON racing zone.......we have 5 classes
for bikes that have big bore pushrod engines, it's not "Harleys
Only", but that's how it turns out. Pushrod 2 and Pushrod
3 - to 1204cc "Unit Construction" are for near stock
and modified Sportsters. Pushrod 1 and Pushrod 4 to 1550cc "Non
Unit Construction" are for near stock and modified
big twins. We also have a class for the Buell . These classes
are loud and fast, especially the dressers.
Modified Classes
For those serious about going fast on whatever size bike
they like, we have 5 classes based on engine size, 0-250
cc, 251-500
cc, 501-650 cc, 651-903 cc ,and 904-1350 cc and 5 specialty
classes, 0-882 British Pushrod twins, Prostreet Pushrod,
Prostreet OHC, Open Pushrod, Unlimited and Pro Juice.
The modifieds always put on the most competitive racing
and include a wide range of engineering concepts and
designs. The
British class is a well represented class which could
be considered as nostalgia racing, Prostreet is full
of the
latest street
legal rockets, and the open and unlimited classes are
wicked quick.
