General Regulations

Appearance: Motorcycles participating in drag racing events must be presentable in appearance at all times. The technical committee at any event may reject bikes that are considered improperly prepared.
Ballast: Any ballast must be securely mounted to either motor or frame; not the forks, front wheel or swing arm.
Batteries: Must be securely mounted in a safe location.
Brakes: All machines must have front and rear brakes in good working condition at the tech's discretion. ALL brake lines and hoses must be O.E.M. or better…. NO plastic hoses/lines allowed.
Catch Cans: Mandatory on all bike with breathers at the tech's discretion.
Chain or Belt Guard: Mandatory on all bikes. Must cover the width and the top run from the centerline of each sprocket or pulleys with a minimum of 1/8" thick material (Aluminum) including primary belts , or OEM accepted.
Ground Clearance: All Machines must have a minimum of 2 inches of ground clearance and be able to pass over a 2-inch template with a maximum of 5 psi in the rear tire (car tire) and 10 lb. (bike tire) with rider on it.
Steering Damper: Any bike entered in pro street pushrod, pro street ohc, open pushrod, and unlimited or running faster than 7.00 ET or 80 mph is mandatory.
Kill Switch: Must have positive ignition cutoff switch attached to the rider with a lanyard of rawhide, wire or similar device. Plastic lanyards must be crimped after looping. Many stock machines are
equipped with a handlebar mounted thumb switch which can have a lanyard easily attached for the above purpose. Engine MUST shut off if lanyard is pulled.
Street classes are not mandatory but highly recommended.
Lights: All entries must have a working taillight attached to center or left rear of the motorcycle during night elimination's. No glow sticks permitted.
Overbore: All STREET classes are allowed a maximum of 1mm (.040") over bore and only stock stroke per class, unless otherwise stated in any class. All other classes MUST run in their actual engine cc class
Starting Methods: External electric or kick-start allowed. Tow starts are not permitted.
Suspension: Front suspension must have a minimum of 1-1/2 inch of travel. Tied down front ends are allowed provided BOTH ends are bolted at both ends. No open hooks. Not permitted in street classes.
Tech infractions will be fixed after first warning !
Throttle: Snap back throttle return mandatory.
Welds: Welds must pass visual inspection. Extra attention given to welds on mainframe rails and controls.
Wheelie Bars: Strictly Prohibited!!!!

Class Designations

Youth Class
Junior Youth    5-10 years old / ET dial in full tree start
Senior Youth   11-15 years old / ET dial in full tree start
Senior youth can also race in any modified classes up to 500cc

ET Shootout         ALL BIKES  dial in /  .400 pro tree start

Buell Supersport - Stock wheelbase, aftermarket
carburetors & pipes permitted.
P/R Sportster - To 1204cc UNIT CONSTRUCTION, aftermarket
carburetors & pipes permitted, no struts , No internal engine modifications permitted, no Buells permitted.
P/R Big Twin - To 1550cc NON UNIT CONSTRUCTION, aftermarket
carburetors & pipes permitted, no struts , No Buells permitted, No internal engine modifications permitted , dressers included
P/R Hot Street - Unit and Non unit construction, all engine
modifications and struts allowed, any swing arm
permitted, maximum wheelbase of 64", Buells permitted

All classes below are on a .400 pro tree start

Quick 8- 8 Bikes with the quickest  Et’s of the day will compete at the end of the day for a single elimination shootout . All money will be split between 1st and 2nd place 60/40

All rules and regulations interpreted at the discretion of the Competition Committee.

Personal Safety Requirements

Helmets and Eye protection: Half helmets NOT permitted. Full Face SNELL approved helmets and eye protection mandatory in ALL classes.
Protective Clothing: Top leathers and leather gloves, or equivalent are required on all motorcycles running in any class. Protective jacket, boots or shoes above the ankles are mandatory for all riders. No canvas or vinyl shoes permitted. Chest protectors, gloves required for all youth classes or leather coats. Full leathers are required in all pro street classes ,1350 cc modified , open  pushrod and Unlimited classes or approved racing suits.

Fuels

Fuel System: Fuel shutoff valve mandatory. If using a fuel pump, must have a positive shut off attached to kill.
NO FUEL ADDITIVES ALLOWED NO ELF FUEL PERMITTED
Alcohol racing fuel: Grade A or AA permitted in any class
Nitromethane: Exhibition ONLY . Not Permitted in Points Series

Return Road & Staging Lanes: NO SPEEDING or BURNOUTS on return road. SLOW WARMUPS ALLOWED. NO TIRE SPIN CLEANING in stage area.
All machines must run in their actual engine cc's or higher.
A rider is allowed only one bike in any given class. Must finish on same bike as raced in first round.
 
Points Payoff
1 or 2 riders .......................................3 points
3-6 riders .........................................1st and 2nd place points
7 or more ........................................1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place in points
2 show points awarded to all remaining entries.
Class points
1st = 10 pts.
2nd = 7 pts.
3rd = 6 pts.
4th = 5 pts.
Points are awarded regardless of payout.
(If payout for 1 place, points are awarded for 1st & 2nd place)
(If payout to 3rd place, points are awarded for 1st thru 4th place)
Points will not be awarded for the quick 8 race .
Three motors constitute a class. (If only  1 or 2 riders, they will  be bumped to another class.

Registration


Registration fee is $10.00 (All proceeds here go directly to the racing
banquet).
$5.00 of every class entry fee also goes towards the awards racing banquet
You MUST register for a number no matter if you are running one race or
running the whole series.
Once registered your number will be saved for one full season, no exceptions
Once a full year has passed and you do not re-register that number it will be available upon first come, first serve basis.

Protesting fee and procedure

Protest: All protest can only be done by a participant in that class . A protest must be presented before the end of that class.
REFUSAL of teardown or admittance to guilt will result in fines matched by the protested amount. Rider will not be allowed to race until the fine is paid in full!
Found Guilty will result in fines matched by the protested amount. If found guilty the amount the guilty party pays will go to the point fund and the protester will receive his money back. If the protested person is found not guilty, that person will receive the protested money from the individual that made the protest. All points accumulated will be forfeited if found guilty.

Nitrous Oxide: If found to be on the machine hooked up, $500.00 fine and loss of ALL points in every class bike has been entered to date. Not including Unlimited class.

Specific Class Rules

Youth Classes: No air shifters permitted. Maximum 2 cylinders , bike must fit the rider and show the ability to have full control of the machine. Maximum of 500cc .
Street Classes: Factory OEM frame and factory OEM swing arm. Street legal. Must have valid owners card and insurance card. Current State inspection required, street tires, self start. (No rollers or external starting or power source, ie.starter cart) permitted. Turn signals and mirrors may be removed. (Unless otherwise stated in individual classes), No assisted shift permitted. No suspension modifications , no dog bones , no straps
Modified Classes: Must have gas tank restraint and kill strap. NHRA blow proof bell housing or a ballistic type explosion blanket must be used on automotive type engines or supercharged bike engines. Pro Britt  - air shifters permitted for 2006 .
Unlimited Class: Any style or make permitted . Nitrous, turbo's and supercharged motorcycles are permitted in Unlimited . Only one power adder is allowed , Nitrous is allowed ONLY in this class.
Pro-street Classes: Modified OEM frames and aftermarket swing arms are permitted. Self start. No external starter permitted. Street motorcycle tires, Kill strap required, Manual shift mandatory (ie. no air shifters or any kind of auto shifters permitted). No motor limits. No wheel base limit. Must have working headlight and taillight. Manual clutch only , no sliders . Turbo’s and superchargers are permitted.

General Class Rules and Regulations

Number Plates: Riders are responsible for mounting their registered
number on the front of the bike and both sides. Left rear side of helmet is
preferred in lieu of both sides.
Double elimination style of competition. 1st and 2nd place to the last two machines. 3rd and 4th place (if necessary), single elimination ladder.
Red light results in loss of round.
Touching centerline results in loss of round. (Touching the centerline over rules red light due to being a more severe infraction)
Nitro methane: Exhibition runs only. Not permitted in Point Series racing
Nitrous Oxide: Exhibition runs only. Not permitted in Point Series racing
Inspection: Each bike must satisfactorily pass inspection of the technical committee before being allowed to run.
7 second auto start : Starting in 2004 we will be using the new 7 second auto start rule . Once (3) stage bulbs are on , you have ONLY seven seconds to stage or you will receive a red light .
